On April 26, 2025, Maindock in Frankfurt transformed into the city’s most vibrant and dance-filled location. The atmosphere was exuberant and warm. Laughter, applause and spontaneous dance interludes made the evening a real highlight. Anyone who needed a break could make themselves comfortable with a drink or a small snack in the cozy lounge areas.
CULINARY INDULGENCE PROGRAM – FROM PINSA TO APEROL
In addition to the dancing delights, the physical well-being was not neglected. The guests were spoiled with a varied culinary offering. Particularly popular: crispy fresh pinsa, tasty pasta variations and rich cheese and sausage platters, which were lovingly arranged and tempting to grab.
There was no shortage of drinks either: a selection of cool drinks provided the necessary refreshment after the dance sessions. Whether sparkling Aperol, stylish white wine or non-alcoholic refreshments – there was something for everyone. The Aperol Spritz, in keeping with the spring evening, was the star of the bar.

What made the dance festival with Motsi Mabuse special was not just the professionalism of the artists or the well thought-out concept, but above all the shared experience. The evening was characterized by openness, mutual respect and pure joie de vivre.
The guests came from a wide range of backgrounds, age groups and experience levels – united by their enthusiasm for music and movement. New contacts were made, old friendships celebrated and many left the Maindock with more than just sore muscles – namely with a real feeling of happiness.
A PLACE FULL OF CHARM: THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE MAINDOCK
As soon as we arrived, it was clear that the Maindock is more than just an event location – it is an experience space. The industrial character of the former warehouse building meets modern design, warm lighting and stylish furnishings. This mix of raw originality and urban elegance creates an atmosphere that is both professional and welcoming.
The high ceilings and exposed brick walls created an airy feeling of space, while cleverly placed accents – such as fairy lights, plants and discreet lounge furniture – gave the venue an inviting feel. The open room structure was ideal for a dance festival in particular: the dance floor was spacious, yet never anonymous. You always had the feeling of being part of a community – right in the middle of it instead of just being there.
The Maindock also showed its best side acoustically. The music was clear and present without being unpleasantly loud – a sign of professional event technology and good sound design. Conversations were easily possible without the music losing any of its energy. This created a perfect balance between action and relaxation that lasted throughout the evening.
Last but not least, the lighting concept also contributed to the special atmosphere: With warm spotlights, spotlights on the dance floor and atmospheric ambient lighting, the Maindock was transformed depending on the time of day and the program – from a workshop location in the afternoon to a festive dance lounge in the evening. The sunset over the Main, visible through the large window fronts, was the crowning glory.
